Autumn Harvest

A little fall card using this week's play along freebie from Designed2Delight and a freebie sentiment from Rainbow Echo Designs found at Sentimental Sundays. Love those freebies, thanks to those who give them to us. Image is colored with Copics, paper is from the My Mind's Eye Complete Boy mega pack. Sorry for the excessive ink distressing, it's what happens when you're trying to color when you're too tired to think and you've had too much help from 8 year olds.

Will be entering this at:
Designed2Delight - Autumn Harvest
Sentimental Sundays - Challenge #72 Autumn
Creative Inspirations - Challenge 129 - Anything Goes
Digital Tuesdays - Challenge 128 - Any season

First challenge card

I am fairly new to this whole blog thingy and have only recently discovered different cardmaking and stamping challenges. All I can say is I'm hooked! I love being able to see others expression of creativity, it is so inspirational to me. This week I decided it was about time for me to jump in and try my hand at a challenge. One of my favorites is Mojo Monday where a basic sketch is posted and you adapt it to your own creation. Here is what I came up with -

Supplies:
Stamps: Whimsy Stamps digi stamp "Dance of Love" hand colored with watercolor pencils, SU {Heart} Hearts
Cardstock: SU Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: SU Real Red
Paper: DP by Nitwits Collection
Other: SU Dimensionals, ribbon, nestabilities

I plan on posting this to both the Mojo Monday #174 and the ribbon challenge at Sundays with Chrissy.

This is still a learning process for me but thanks for looking!

Chocolate pistachio cake

Yesterday was a crazy weather day here in the south, first 6 inches of snow followed by ice so I decided to utilize a recipe I found on Pioneer Woman's website for Chocolate Pistachio cake.  This was a cake my mother used to make when I was a kid but I know it's been 30 years since I had it and I've never made it for my kids. It was so simple to put together and was declared delicious by all. I'm so glad to have found this recipe after all of these years. Thanks Pioneer Woman!

Welcome to my blog!

Happy New Year-

I LOVE paper and all things related to paper - scrapbooking, books, crafts - especially quilting, cross stitch & knitting which all require a paper pattern.  I am fairly new to blogs and have found them to be quite resourceful as well as addicting. I have discovered so many ideas and resources through my blog wanderings. I am starting this blog to share my love of paper with all of you as well as a way to journal the adventure we call life.  Please join me in my journey.
